Last Sunday I competed at the McGahan Lees Open Feis in Essex. To both my mum's and my surprise I was due to dance at 8.30am (for Intermediate) and again at 15.30 for my Primary dances. To get to the feis with enough time to take my curlers out, warm up, put my dress on, shoes on and make up on, we left my house at 6.45am. It only took an hour to get there so we had plenty of time before the competition started.

I danced my slip jig, heavy jig and hornpipe in Intermediate but unfortunately was not placed. After that competition had finished, my mum and I went into the main building to find the canteen to get some lunch. My friend Katie was also having lunch with her mum, so we joined them and talked about how the day was going. We had about 3 hours before our next competition started, so we went into the main hall to watch the Championships taking place.
